I've been able to enjoy working with horses for more than
35 years...with mules for more than twenty! As a keen student of animal psychology, evolution and the animal/human relationship...I
have enjoyed helping other people understand their animals, especially longears.
I have written a continuing series
on mule training called "Building Blocks" for a nat'l mule publication, and currently contribute "Lisa's MuleSchool", consisting
of a Lesson, A Story...and Something to Think About. I have shown horses and mules all over the country, at all levels of
competition, and currently contribute a column entitled "Prep Talk for the Showring" to another mule magazine.
For
several years, I concentrated on learning from the great natural horsemanship clinicians..and attended more than one hundred
clinics both as participant and spectator. I travelled all over the country to be able to learn from the best...and participated
in colt starting, horsemanship, ranch roping and cow working clinics.
